To minimise lead times, we produce standard distribution transformer sizes for stock. Although, any size and voltage range can be catered for to suit your specific requirements.
Our standard range of Distribution Transformers is manufactured using cold rolled grain oriented (CRGO) steel. These can be supplied from 25kVA to 3150kVA with voltage ratios of 3.3kV, 6.6kV, 11kV and 33kV step down to 415V. Our standard transformers are available in all cooling mediums including; Oil (ONAN) or Midel (KNAN).
Our transformers are designed with the HV and LV flanges to BS2562 with facings suitable for the accommodation of bolt-on HV and LV cable boxes, LV transformer-mounted feeder pillars or ACB/MCCB cabinets and HV transformer-mounted switchgear to ENATS standards.
They are also fitted with bolt-on panel design radiators and have been carefully designed so that HV switchgear can be fitted without interfering with the radiators – removing the need for extensive throats.
They are fully compliant with the EU Commission Tier 2 Regulation 548/2014 on Ecodesign and BSEN60076 standards. The Tier 2 regulations limit the requirements for no-load and load-losses in transformers. It is in place to improve energy efficiency, environmental compatibility, and reduce CO2 emissions.
